Ever since Amazon released the 79-dollar Kindle in 2011, I’ve been wanting to have one. It’s cheap. And I think that it’s a great device for reading eBooks because of its e-Ink screen. But I didn’t buy one right away because I wasn’t really sure if I would enjoy reading books or novels from an electronic device instead of the real thing.
I’ve struggled for months trying to stop myself from clicking that buy button. But just a few days ago, I finally gave in and I accepted defeat.
I bought a Kindle.
There’s nothing really fancy about the Kindle. I mean, it’s just an eReader. And that’s what I really love about it. It’s a great eReader. It’s cheap (affordable) and it just works!
Now that I have a Kindle, I think I’ll definitely reach my 2012 Reading Challenge, which is to read at least 15 books this year. I know that it’s a small number. But I’m planning to increase it to, let’s say, 20 or 25 books or even more.
If you’re curious on whatever book or novel I’m reading, I suggest that you add me as a friend on Goodreads.
EDIT: I forgot to add that this Kindle is my late birthday gift to myself! Yay!
